The Cummins B6.7H will be tested by Anadolu Isuzu in the 13-metre Kendo, usually powered by a Cummins L9N natural gas engine and already providing a sustainable alternative to traditional fuels. Intended for intercity, school or shuttle applications, Kendo buses require a dependable and longer range power option. The hydrogen internal combustion engine technology demonstrator will deliver even lower tailpipe emissions, leveraging Cummins’ broader technology suite in support of Anadolu Isuzu’s sustainability objectives.
Rated at 216 kW (290 hp) and with 1200 Nm peak torque, Cummins intends for the B6.7H to provide diesel-like performance using zero-carbon hydrogen fuel. The technology is ideally suited to heavier-duty applications that require long distance operational range. Cummins’ initial tests have shown that the B6.7H delivers a more than 99% reduction in tailpipe carbon emissions and ultra-low NOx compared to the current Euro VI diesel engine standard.
Cummins and Anadolu Isuzu will collaborate on the integration of the B6.7H into a Kendo bus, with both organisations calling on existing expertise in developing natural gas-power – and powered – vehicles around the world. Anadolu Isuzu plans to conduct vehicle-level tests throughout 2026.

Cummins has been a supplier to Anadolu Isuzu for more than a decade, providing almost 5,000 engines to date across a range of sizes and applications. Engines are manufactured at Cummins’ Darlington Engine Plant in the UK and delivered to Anadolu Isuzu’s production facility in Kocaeli, Türkiye.
