Under the new contract, FPT will continue supplying NEF and CURSOR series engines, ranging from 4 to 13 liters, to power the DEXEN, KUXEN, and MAXEN models which have achieved significant commercial success thanks to their reliability and performance. All engines supplied comply with Euro VI regulations and meet the strictest emission standards, contributing to efficient and sustainable transport solutions in South Korea. As of July 2024, in addition to UNECE Regulation No. 155, FPT engines are also fully compliant with the latest cybersecurity standards, including ISO 21434, ensuring robust protection against unauthorized access and external attacks.

This agreement marks a new chapter in an enduring partnership between the two companies that has thrived for over twenty years, as evidenced by the 90,000+ engines delivered. Throughout this journey, FPT and TDM have combined their expertise to develop advanced powertrain solutions, driven by a shared commitment to sustainability and reductions in CO₂ emissions, an area in which FPT has long been a pioneer within the on- road segment. Today, the two companies continue to move forward together, fostering innovation with cutting-edge technologies and a forward-looking approach.

“The renewal of this partnership is an important recognition, and we are proud that Tata Daewoo Mobility continues to choose FPT as its preferred supplier,” commented Mr Sylvain Blaise, President, Powertrain Business Unit, Iveco Group. “This confirmation underlines the value of the work we carry out together every day, turning our collaboration into tangible results on the market. For us, meeting the specific needs of our customers in their missions is a responsibility we take very seriously. We are ready to support them with reliable, efficient, and cutting-edge solutions, standing by their side in every challenge, today and in the future.”

“The renewal of our partnership with FPT reflects the trust and collaboration we have built over the past two decades. FPT’s powertrain technologies have contributed meaningfully to enhancing the competitiveness of Tata Daewoo Mobility’s products,” stated Mr TS Kim, CEO and President of Tata Daewoo Mobility. “Going forward, we will continue to address evolving market conditions and customer needs, while working together to develop more efficient and environmentally sustainable commercial vehicle solutions. Through this agreement, we also aim to further strengthen our competitiveness in the global market.”

FPT’s R&D Center in Gunsan, specifically established to strengthen the engineering collaboration and on-site technological presence of FPT, will continue to play a pivotal role in supporting the mutual cooperation between the two companies. The facility serves as a strategic hub for the co-development of next-generation technologies, combining FPT’s local engineering capabilities with the global expertise of its innovation teams, effectively placing FPT’s know-how at the service of Tata Daewoo Mobility.
