The specialist, who has been with the company for 27 years, will continue to optimise the production network across all plants and manage future-oriented investment projects. Operational responsibility for day-to-day business will remain with the plant managers at the respective locations. “Volker Perk is a proven expert in his field and has already successfully implemented numerous complex large-scale projects at Krone, such as the construction of the coating centre in Werlte or a wide range of new production facilities. Many automation solutions at the sites are characterised by his specialist knowledge. We are very pleased that we have been able to recruit Volker Perk for this important future task,” says Dr Stefan Binnewies, the responsible member of the Krone Group Executive Board.
This further development also relieves Alfons B. Veer as CTO of the Commercial Vehicle Group, who will focus more intensively on the strategic fields of sustainability, digitalisation and electrification in the future. With this personnel reinforcement, Krone is underlining its clear objective of combining modern production processes with a future-oriented organisational structure in order to remain competitive in the long term and preserve jobs
