Furey’s of Sligo Adds ADL Enviro200 Pair For TFI Local Link

Alexander Dennis Limited (“ADL”), a subsidiary of NFI Group Inc. (“NFI”), one of the world’s largest independent global bus manufacturers, today announced that it has supplied two Enviro200 to Irish bus operator Furey’s of Sligo. The low-floor buses are used on a TFI Local Link route provided on behalf of the National Transport Authority.

The 10.8m long single deckers each accommodate up to 41 passengers on comfortable ADL SmartSeats that are all fitted with three-point safety belts. They join an earlier Enviro200 and several Plaxton Panther coaches in the Furey’s Coaches fleet.

The new Enviro200 are branded for and used on TFI Local Link service 982, which connects coastal communities in Counties Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal on its route from Sligo Town to Ballyshannon. TFI Local Link is a National Transport Authority initiative to improve rural transport.

Aidan Furey, Director of Furey’s Coaches, said: “We are delighted to add another two Enviro200 buses to our fleet, especially in these uncertain times. The Enviros look smart, are reliable and our passengers like them in terms of comfort and accessibility. We hope to add a few more over the next 12 months to service our new contracts.”

Lee Gibson, ADL Sales Account Manager for Ireland, said: “We are delighted to continue to support Aidan Furey and his team in providing the highest levels of service, quality, comfort, and safety for its customers. The Enviro200 combines reliability, comfort and accessibility to deliver the ideal solution for essential rural bus services that keep communities connected. This proven formula is appreciated on multiple TFI Local Link routes across Ireland, including those provided by Furey’s Coaches.”
