The new Cummins-Meritor® 225 Weight Reduced callipers are an evolution of the current ELSA225 braking range, with a weight reduction of up 3.7kg per calliper. The product has been developed with patented micro core technology to optimise brake castings for reduced weight.
The weight reduced designs support a more efficient use of raw material, as well as environmental benefits in use without compromise on braking performance, durability or stopping distance.
Cummins-Meritor® weight reduced callipers are compatible with the company’s aftermarket Positive Pad Retraction (PPR) brake pad systems. These kits are designed for Volvo and Renault truck applications, offering customers product benefits for current vehicles.
The new calipers and kits, launched to the European aftermarket at the beginning of 2024 benefit from Meritor’s Aftermarket three-year warranty and flexible core surcharge terms.
