MAXUS is set to present its updated 2027 model-year product and drivetrain portfolio at IAA TRANSPORTATION 2026, highlighting bidirectional charging, electric commercial vehicles and automated transport technologies.
MAXUS to Highlight Bidirectional Charging at IAA
MAXUS will showcase its latest commercial vehicle technologies at IAA TRANSPORTATION 2026, focusing on solutions designed to expand the role of electric vehicles beyond transportation.
A key highlight of the manufacturer’s presence at the event will be its bidirectional charging technology. MAXUS plans to demonstrate concrete applications of Vehicle-to-Load (V2L), Vehicle-to-Building (V2B) and Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technologies for commercial customers. These solutions can enable electric vehicles to supply electricity to external equipment, buildings or the power grid, creating new opportunities for businesses using electric commercial fleets.
New Electric Commercial Vehicles Join the Lineup
At IAA TRANSPORTATION 2026, MAXUS will introduce an updated product and drivetrain program for the 2027 model year.
The manufacturer’s lineup will include vans and pickups featuring different drivetrain options, providing commercial customers with a broader range of solutions for different transportation requirements. Among the major premieres will be a fully electric heavy-duty truck, underlining MAXUS’ focus on expanding electric mobility into heavier commercial applications.
Automated Transport Technology on Display
MAXUS will also use the IAA platform to showcase a technology demonstrator for automated transport. The automated transport solution is expected to highlight how automation and electrification could work together in future commercial logistics operations. The technology could become particularly relevant for applications where efficiency, automation and lower-emission transportation are key priorities.
IAA TRANSPORTATION 2026 Highlights Future of Commercial Mobility
With electric vehicles, bidirectional charging and automated transport technologies taking center stage, MAXUS aims to demonstrate how commercial vehicles can become more than conventional means of transportation. The company’s presence at IAA TRANSPORTATION 2026 will offer commercial customers an opportunity to explore new applications for electric mobility while providing a closer look at the technologies shaping the next generation of commercial transportation.
