With immediate effect journalists from all over the world can now apply online for accreditation to attend the 66th IAA Commercial Vehicles. The IAA is being held in Hanover from 22 September to 29 September 2016. (Press Preview Day 21 September, Press and Opening Day: 22 September). Access to the accreditation portal can be found in the press sector of the IAA website at http://www.iaa.de/en/press-room/accreditation.
The prerequisite for obtaining the IAA press ticket is a valid press card. The German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA), organizer of the IAA, is responsible for checking and approving the accreditation. Accreditation in the run-up to the IAA Commercial Vehicles is possible solely online. After the VDA Accreditation Team has checked the documentation, journalists will receive their press ticket and where appropriate their parking permit per e-mail. The window for online accreditation closes on Friday, 16 September 2016.
On Wednesday, 21 September, and Thursday, 22 September, press accreditation is possible from 7:00 to18:00 h at the Hanover Fairgrounds, Entrances West 1 and Nord 1, and in the Press Center. The actual Fairgrounds open at 8:00 h.
The IAA Press Center is located in the Convention Center (CC). Press workplaces equipped with fax machines, printers and free WiFi will be available there for media representatives.
The exhibitors’ press conferences will be held on the exhibitors’ stands and in the Convention Center as of 8.30 h on Wednesday, 21 September, and Thursday, 22 September. An overview of all press conferences can be found at www.iaa.de/en/press-room. This year too a free official app for the 66th IAA Commercial Vehicles for iOS and Android will again be available as of mid-August. Alongside the directory of exhibitors at the IAA 2016 with contact details, the app also offers the layout plan as a dynamic map with exhibitors’ stand data, a product search facility, detailed information on the exhibitors and a bookmark function for exhibitors and events.
