Vector NEXT ‘accessible environment’ version is equipped for the convenience of reduced-mobility passengers. It has the low-flow design for the rear door, boarding, and exciting area, as well as mechanical ramp and a dedicated wheelchair space. A doorway has been expanded to 0,9 m to allow a wheelchair gets through it. Due to the low-floor design and rear suspension lowering feature, the bus, approaching a bus stop, has its rear doorway at the curb height thus providing accessibility for wheelchair users.
The intercity bus Vector NEXT is already in its basic configuration equipped with a tinted glazing, comfortable seats with adjustable backrest and seat belts, air conditioning, overhead luggage racks, audio system, tachograph with data storage security module, ERA-GLONASS equipment, additional handrails and a separate luggage compartment.
The CNG version is equipped with six gas cylinders, 62 l each, and YMZ-530 Euro-5 engines. YMZ-530 CNG engines feature advanced design and cutting-edge engine and system management solutions, thus ensuring their high reliability and fuel economy. The use of natural gas provides for a two-fold decrease in operating costs and a reduction of harmful emissions to the environment as compared to similar diesel technology.
Production of the new Vector NEXT bus family was launched at Pavlovo bus plant in June 2016. The buses are designed to carry 43 to 53 passengers, they feature improved ergonomics of the driver’s compartment and better noise insulation. They can be equipped with electronic route indicators with a running line, automatic stop announcement system, video system and other additional options as required by the customer. These buses, depending on the driver’s cab configuration, can operate on city, suburban and intercity routes.
In 2017, about 1100 Vector NEXT buses were delivered to the Russian market, including the regions, where the World Cup matches will be held. The expansion of the Vector NEXT model line allows the manufacturer to increase their sales volume by more than 60% – in 2018 it is planned to sell about 1700 buses of this type.
