With the full acquisition of York Transport Equipment (Asia) Pte. Ltd., the internationally active company greatly strengthens its market position in the fast-growing transport markets in the APAC region and in India. With V.ORLANDI, SAF-HOLLAND strengthens its position as the number two in fifth wheel couplings on the European market. The Italian company with 60 employees manufactures trailer couplings for trucks and special fifth wheel couplings at its two locations in northern Italy. With this acquisition, SAF-HOLLAND expands its business with couplings and drawbar eyes for trailers and specialpurpose commercial vehicles in the segments of industry, agriculture, forestry and mining. V.ORLANDI achieves around 20 per cent of its turnover with coupling systems for agricultural and forestry vehicles. “On the one hand, we use V.ORLANDI to strengthen our strategic market position for fifth wheel couplings and to expand our know-how for coupling
systems for trailers and niche vehicles. On the other hand, we strengthen our position in important regional markets such as Russia, the Middle East and Australia. V.ORLANDI has a

the group of companies rises to become one of the market leaders for trailer axle
and suspension systems in India, one of the fastest growing transport markets
worldwide. In emerging markets in Southeast Asia, such as Thailand, Indonesia
and Vietnam, as well as in Australia, SAF-HOLLAND will have an appreciable
position in the future through York. “We position ourselves for the foreseeable
change towards technologically more sophisticated solutions in these countries
early on. Similar to China, we expect that loading and safety regulations will be
